2010 Equine Affair

GLApHC was well represented at the recent Equine Affair held in Columbus, OH April 8-11. A breed demonstration was held on Saturday with GLApHC members participating. Antonella Bath and her daughter demonstrated the W/T division with their great mare " Sophie", Samantha Schroeder lead in a 2 yr. old colorful colt , Charlie Doolin, and Carlyn Wayland with a yearling gelding. Kelly Engle-Thompson used her horse in the youth demo area to show the different Indian symbols and how they were used to decorate their horses.

GLApHC members along with Appalachian and the Buckeye club members handed out information about the clubs in OH and the National Appaloosa Horse Club. Thousands of visitors enjoyed looking at the Appaloosa horses on display that were next to the booth sponsored by the ApHC.

Kathy McCulty did an outstanding job of coordinating this event and making it one of the best promotions we have had there. There was lots of interest in learning about the breed and the types of events they could be used for.
