Letter from the President;

Congratulations to all the class winners and High point winners at the Quadarama show. It was a very successful show with many National and World Champion champions competing. One of the special horses was "Hall of Fame" horse, Classic Order, who ended up the Champion Games horse. She is owned by the Langford family and ridden by Jeff. Thanks to Diane Welch for managing a well run show and also to members and club officers and board members for all their help. Also a special thanks to Troy and Jen Kenette for helping with parking and to Richard for helping with the games classes.

Congratulations also to many of our members who placed at the World Youth Show and The National Show. Virginia Williams was the High Pt. Overall Youth and winner of the trailer. Amanda Cole was youth Saddle Seat Champion and Reserve in the National open show. Eryn Giffi was Novice Western Showmanship Champion and Reserve was Loren Marrow. To see a complete listing of other members who placed check out the appaloosa.com web site under National show results. Point standings are also listed.

The show season for GLApHC points is fast coming to a close. The show in Marysville on Labor Day weekend and the show in Wilmington on September 15 and 16th. I hope these shows are well attended by are members.

If there are any of you that are interested in going on trail rides with other appaloosa owners contact Dara Marvin @ 419-281-4947 or LYDAMARFARM@aol.com. I want to encourage all of you to look atthe GLApHC.com web site for information and upcoming events. There will be some special articles from the Western Horseman from George Hatley which are very interesting. If you have horses to sell or want your farm advertised you can use the web site.
