Lindsay Tucker
Age 20 years old.

I am from Ottawa Lake, Michigan.

I will be a junior at Michigan State University next fall. I will graduate with a degree in nutritional sciences. After graduation I intend on getting my physician’s assistant degree.

I am currently taking a break from showing Appaloosas but hope to rejoin the show scene upon completion of my degree.

Riding history:
I have been riding since I was 7 years old. I started riding at a jumping barn, then I did the 4-H thing and that is where my love for appaloosas began. My first horse was an appaloosa, Hank Redford. “Red”. The very first Appaloosa horse show that we attended was a Great Lakes Appaloosa Horse show.

Riding Accomplishments:

I managed to get all my “game” points last summer and accomplished my long-term goal and will be receiving my Youth Superior Award at Nationals this year.

I rode Novice with “Red” and we accomplished the following:

• 2004 - High Point Novice Youth in the Michigan Appaloosa Club
  
• Youth Register of Merit - Hunter Under Saddle 18
  
• Youth Register of Merit - Novice Hunt Seat Equitation 18 and Under.
  

I then started riding The Fortune Hunter (“Fortune”).

• Youth Register of Merit - Hunt Seat 18 and Under
  
• Youth Register of Merit - Western Showmanship 16-18.
  

I competed at the 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2005 Appaloosa Youth Nationals with Fortune

• 2005 Fourth Place 5 and Under Non-Pro/Youth Hunter Under Saddle
